Your Journal Entries

This is crucial: Your journal entries belong to you.When you create journal entries in StayReflective:

• You retain all rights and ownership of your content
• We don't read, analyze, or use your entries for any purpose other than providing the Service
• You can export your entries at any time
• You can delete your entries and they will be removed from our systems

Limited License

To provide the Service, you grant StayReflective a limited license to:

• Store your entries securely in our database
• Display your entries back to you through the app
• Sync your entries across your devices
• Create backups for data recovery purposes

This license is non-exclusive, revocable, and limited solely to operating the Service for you. We will never use your journal content for marketing, research, AI training, or any other purpose.

5. Subscription and Payment

Free and Paid Features

StayReflective offers both free and premium features:

• Free tier includes basic journaling and limited prompts
• Premium subscriptions unlock unlimited prompts and advanced features
• Pricing and features are subject to change with notice

Billing

If you purchase a premium subscription:

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime through your app store account settings
• No refunds for partial billing periods
• Prices may change with 30 days notice

6. Acceptable Use

StayReflective is designed for personal reflection and growth. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Share account access with others
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer or hack the Service
• Use the Service to harm yourself or others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Service Availability and Changes

Beta Features

Some features may be in beta. Beta features:

• May be incomplete or contain errors
• Are provided "as-is" without warranties
• May be discontinued at any time
• Should not be relied upon for critical needs

Service Modifications

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• We never read your journal entries
• We use Firebase for secure data storage
• You can export or delete your data anytime
• We don't sell your personal information

10. Disclaimers

StayReflective is not a substitute for professional mental health care. The Service doesn't provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you're experiencing mental health issues, please consult with a qualified healthcare professional.

No Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• StayReflective won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability won't exceed the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months
• These limitations apply even if we've been advised of the possibility of damages

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StayReflective and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You can stop using StayReflective and delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion:

• Your data will be deleted within 30 days
• You won't receive any refunds for unused subscription time
• You can export your data before deletion

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior. We'll try to notify you and give you a chance to export your data unless immediate action is required.

Informal Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and StayReflective.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
